Imagine this scenario: Orange County, California , The Beach Boys, surf, palm trees and sunshine... A little boy learns to play the guitar and after some time he begins to experiment in a room with a computer and create music. Here the Hellogoodbye and their debut album "Zombies! Aliens ! Vampires ! Dinosaurs !" That combines a synth pop to the power pop with references to Devo and references to Jimmy Eat World all topped off by the sound Rich Creamy Paint. The disc has some ideas that offer glimpses of a talent especially listening to the two singles "Here ( In Your Arms )", "All Of Your Love" and a sound research about halfway between the guitars of Weezer and The Cure. Also noteworthy is "Stuck To You", "Baby, It's Fact" and even the country-pop ballad "Oh, It Is Love" all banjo and mandolin as the mid-western scene wants! Certainly a good debut album, not a "must have" but the band is to keep in consideration for the future. To listen to relaxing holiday in the hot sun of August.
