An amazing album! Their use of different instruments that aren't typically used like the cello really add a unique vibe to their music which is one of the reasons they are so successful. They're similar in some ways to other bands in their genre but Bastille is always going to have a different sound that is bound to bring more success. Their music is some of the best I've ever heard, the emotion and power in songs like The Draw and Get Home is really nice to listen to. Laughter Lines and Overjoyed are two of my favorite tracks all time. This album is 100% worth a listen.
Pompeii, Bad Blood, and Things We Lost In The Fire are some of the best songs I've heard all year. Worth it to get the album for those songs alone. However, there are some other hidden gems like Overjoyed, Flaws, Laura Palmer, and Get Home which really shine. Bastille's mix of instruments and sounds really take you on an adventure through their album. If you enjoy Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, and the like, you can't go wrong with this one.
