MØ, the pseudonym for the danish pop comet with the citizen name Karen Marie Ørsted has made a real and honest pop album. The album starts great off with the song Fire Rides which absolutely also is one of my favorite tracks on this album. After this, Maiden which also stands out for me, whith her vocal on this track.
The best track on the album is by far Don't Wanna Dance. Once the chorus starts with the "I don't wanna dance with nobody", you just can't sit still. It's psychically impossible for me because the chorus along with the drums is too damn catchy.
There are all together 7 tracks on this albums which already were known for the public. These are Maiden, Don't Wanna Dance, Glass, Pilgrim, Waste of Time, XXX 88, Never Wanna Know, where the last to tracks appeared on her EP, Bikini Daze, released in 2013. XXX 88 features the mega producer, Diplo, which already has produced for artists like Major Lazer and M.I.A.
Pilgrim was the first track MØ released where she uploaded it to Yotube and this quickly became a mega-hit. This is also one of the better tracks from her, in my opinion.
But even though there are quite a few songs previously released, the new songs just kind of flow in together and doesn't really stand out. One of the only that might do that for me, is Slow Love with it's characteristic drum track.
This album is still a decent album, and especially for a debut. The songs are all well-produced and she has an amazing voice, MØ.
