Red is Taylor Swift's newest album, and quite a different one at that. It definitely leans more toward pop than country, but it is a pretty good album. It may disappointing some of her more country fans, but will appeal to more people because of the pop influences. The songs on the album range from catchy, chart-topping hits like "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble", to more ballad type songs like "I Almost Do". "All Too Well" is the heart breaker of the album, and her two songs featuring other artists are great and also surprising. "The Last Time" is Taylor's duet with Gary Lightbody of the band Snow Patrol. This seemed to me a surprising collab, but the song is great. Very beautiful. My favorite song, however, is "Everything Has Changed", Taylor's duet with Ed Sheeran. Fantastic. It describes a kind of love-at-first sight situation. It really is a great song, I love how they're voices sound in it, especially in the harmonies. Overall, I think this is a great album; the only reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is because I do miss country Taylor Swift. However, this should be expected as part of her evolution as an artist, especially in the mainstream. She's transformed from a country sweetheart to a pop princess, and that isn't a bad thing. This album is really great, and I highly recommend checking it out.
Once again, this country pop princess come out with yet another album titled 'Red'. This album isn't even country anymore. The Taylor Swift we knew on the album 'Fearless' seems to be non existent today. Her music isn't even country anymore, it's pure pop. Her songs 'Trouble' and 'We Are Never Getting Back Together' are two songs that I try to avoid listening to. If I could, I would give this song a 0/5. I feel like Taylor doesn't even put effort into her music anymore.
