This is an awesome album! It manages to be dark and brooding but still relatable which is not an easy frat to accomplish musically. I also love that this album exists in a world somewhere between jazz and trip hop. Archie Marshall (king krule's real name) is a mastermind of understatement. He manages to create an atmosphere that is relaxing but also reveals the inner tension that he apparently feels about life. I also think his voice is almost like a mix between Randy Newman and Mac Demarco. It is really impressive that he brings his low and brooding voice to the forefront and sings powerful melodies in such a low vocal range. All in all this is an album that I can really view as a piece of art from begging to end.
