As someone who has listened to most all of 1D's albums over the years, I personally believe that this album isn't one of their greatest, but still, there are some good songs on this album.
Overall, this album feels like a departure from the cutesy romantic stuff they normally sing about, into a more mature, serious kind of album. Instead of talking about relationships they way they used to, with the innocence, they instead talk about them in a more serious, adult way, implying sex and one night stands in many of their songs. It seems like they have just followed the progression that all young musicians make as they get older. This progression that the music industry tells them they need to follow, of talking about these kinds of topics, because it does sell.
My favorites are: "Drag me Down", "Perfect", "A.M.", "Olivia", and "History"
This album has a more serious tone, but still has a few fun, catchy sing-along style songs as well. Most of these are listed in my favorites above. "Drag me Down, History, Perfect, and Olivia, are those songs to me. They all have meaning, but they're also very cathcy!
If you're a hardcore fan of 1D, you'll probably love this too, but those of us who really analyze music may find this album lacking in some areas. I think though that this doesn't mean it isn't worth a listen, it still is a decent album just not their best.
